Job Title: Dual Site Café Manager & Private Events Coordinator
Location: Coffika & Couch
Salary: £28,000–£34,000 per annum (DOE) + Bonus Potential up to £3,000
Contracted Hours: 45 hours per week over 5 days (including weekends)

Our company operates two vibrant and welcoming cafés renowned for their exceptional coffee, fresh seasonal menus, and friendly atmosphere. Alongside our day-to-day café operations, we also host private events, offering our guests bespoke experiences tailored to their needs. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to take on the dual role of managing both sites while spearheading the planning and execution of private events.
The Role
As the Dual Site Café Manager & Private Events Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless day-to-day operations of both café locations while driving the success of our private events. Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll have the opportunity to lead and inspire a passionate team, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and help grow our reputation as both a café destination and event venue.
Key Responsibilities
Café Management:
1. Oversee the daily operations of both café locations, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
2. Lead, motivate, and develop the café teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
3. Manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for peak periods, weekends, and events.
4. Maintain excellent customer service standards and resolve customer queries or concerns effectively.
5. Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and safety regulations at both locations.
6. Monitor and manage budgets, stock levels, and supplies to meet business targets.
7. Drive revenue growth through upselling, promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.
Private Events Coordination:
1. Act as the primary point of contact for private events inquiries, liaising with clients to understand and deliver their event requirements.
2. Plan and coordinate the execution of private events, including setup, staffing, and catering.
3. Collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to create bespoke event menus and ensure smooth delivery.
4. Oversee event operations on the day, ensuring everything runs to plan and exceeds client expectations.
5. Conduct post-event evaluations, gathering feedback to continually improve the events experience.
Leadership & Strategy:
1. Contribute to the growth and development of the business by identifying opportunities to enhance both café and events offerings.
2. Train and develop team members to deliver a consistent and high-quality experience.
3. Monitor KPIs and sales performance, reporting regularly to senior management.
About You
We are looking for a proactive, energetic, and customer-focused leader who can balance the demands of dual-site management with the creativity and attention to detail required to execute memorable private events.
Essential Skills & Experience:
1. Proven experience in café/restaurant management, ideally overseeing multiple sites.
2. A strong background in planning and delivering private events or functions.
3. Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate.
4. Outstanding customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
5. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
6. Financial acumen, including budget management and understanding of P&L.
7. A flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and evenings.
Desirable Skills:
1. Knowledge of event sales and marketing to help grow our events business.
2. Barista skills or experience in specialty coffee environments.
3. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
