Job Title – Role Overview
The Quality team forms part of the Operational Excellence Directorate of the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
The team is responsible for embedding the VOA quality strategy, principles and behaviours, along with delivering changes in line with our Data, Customer and Channel strategies.
Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will be responsible for delivering a consultancy-based service to casework processing and leadership teams. You will develop, embed and report on the delivery of a Quality Management System within the core VOA business streams.
Key responsibilities
* Delivery of a defined set of quality products and services for the business to agreed deadlines and within budget.
* Development of quality initiatives based on feedback and data received from various quality controls.
* Providing clear and effective dialogue in the delivery of the quality strategy to senior leadership teams.
* Being proactive in identifying risks and issues relating to quality, applying analytical and problem-solving skills to mitigate any impacts.
* Building and maintaining professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including senior leaders.
* Delivery using a consultancy approach to working with stakeholders.
* Leading on and undertaking targeted projects in response to known quality issues and risks.
* Drafting reports, recommendations and briefings.
* Coaching and mentoring senior leaders and team leaders on quality matters and behavioural approaches to drive quality within teams.
* Partner with other Government Departments to review and keep abreast of current industry standards.
* Responsible for the implementation of the Quality Strategy into business process streams
* Deputising for the Head of Quality as required.
