* Salary from £47,718 per annum to £49,764 per annum
* Full-time – 37 hours a week

This exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Legal Services at Sheffield City Council at what will be exciting times for Sheffield as it continues its existing regeneration and embarks on new programmes. The team you will be working in is managed by a Senior Lawyer based in the Town Hall. Our team provides transactional services and legal advice in relation to a wide range of complex property areas, including right to buy and commercially related residential acquisitions, commercial landlord and tenant, academies, property and charitable trusts.
The successful candidate will:
* Manage a varied case load including high-profile and complex matters
* Work closely with senior officers and at times councillors, external lawyers and developers as well as an established commercial property and regeneration team of officers
* Work collaboratively with a team of friendly and hardworking lawyers and professional officers
* Work with the Senior Lawyer, the Legal Leadership Team and other stakeholders to provide high quality legal services
For the role, you will need:
* Recognised Legal Qualification (Solicitor/Barrister or FCILEX)
* Good experience of complex commercial property and regeneration work
* Excellent communication and comprehensive commercial property drafting skills
* The ability to work with both internal and external professionals on major regeneration projects and other complex matters

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
