Acorn by Synergie is seeking a site manager for a privately owned SME specializing in the domestic market with extensions, alterations, and refurbishments. The company employs a range of direct tradespeople from Carpentry to Mechanical & Electrical.
With a family feel, employees work closely together as a team, ensuring that quality and customer service are top priorities. They pride themselves on being polite, positive, and good communicators, maintaining an excellent local reputation in the North Bristol and South Gloucestershire area.
Due to consistent growth, they are now in a position to employ a site manager to oversee the delivery of projects ranging from around £150k to £1m in value.
The Role:
As the site manager, you will be 'off the tools' and responsible for the successful delivery of projects. Responsibilities include:
1. Liaising between customers, architects, workforce, and other stakeholders
2. Organizing labor, plant, and materials
3. Managing and implementing safety standards and good work practices
4. Overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, depending on size and scope
We would ideally like to begin this role on a freelance basis, with the ambition to transition to a permanent role if all parties are satisfied.
The Person:
We are looking for someone who is:
1. Polite, friendly, and customer-focused in line with company values
2. An experienced tradesman looking to step into management
3. Possessing good technical knowledge of domestic construction projects, ideally with a trade background
4. An excellent team player
5. Equipped with good organizational and leadership skills
6. Holding a full UK driving license
Salary:
The salary for this position ranges from £240 to £260 per day, with long-term prospects of an employed role depending on experience.
