The Palliative Care Service provides consultative advice to all units across Alfred Health.
An opportunity exists for a Locum Fractional Specialist to join the Palliative Care Consultancy Service at Alfred Health, to provide sabbatical leave backfill from 24 March 2025 to 28 September 2025.
The work is varied, and we have an effective multi-disciplinary team providing comprehensive support. This position requires participation in an outpatient clinic and may include supervision of junior staff and inpatient care. On-call responsibilities and travel between campuses may be required.
Minimum Requirements :
1. Applicants must be legally qualified practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
2. A Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
3. Formal training in palliative care is essential.
4. Acute hospital experience is highly desirable.
5. Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Palliative Care Medicine is required, as well as meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Palliative Care Medicine.
