Job Description
This role blends solution architect, pre-sales engineering, project engineer, and product manager, providing deep technical expertise during the pre-sales process through to signed off specification.
Role
Pre-Sale
Work with Account Manager / Regional Sales Manager to:
* Assist in qualifying an opportunity
* Perform product demonstrations and lead technical discussions
* Gather sufficient information to architect a solution (or study the RFI/RFP)
* Evaluate what functionality is already available and what might need development
* Establish required integrations with third party products and solutions and the detailed requirements surrounding these
* If a POC is required ensure it is clearly defined including success criteria and commercial implications (e.g. customer pays for some/all of it)
* Be responsible for the technical aspects of RFI/RFP/general response including drawings, specifications, and workflow descriptions
* Ensure proposed timescales are realistic taking into account development and integration required and other project loading
* Attend formal negotiations and Q&A sessions as technical lead
* Guide Account Manager in preparing a commercial offer
Post Sale
Work with Services team, R&D, and the customer to:
* Further refine requirements and specification to produce an accepted Statement of Work / Specification for the provided solution.
* Initiate the project kick-off, handing over responsibility for execution to the services team.
* Assist with scoping and technical clarification of any change requests.
* Be available to the services team as needed for clarification of the SOW / specification.
Skills and Attributes
* Deep technical knowledge of Pixel Power products and solutions (master control playout, graphics, multiviewing, and monitoring)
* Deep understanding of end-to-end workflows, integrations, and equipment used in broadcast playout and production environments
* Customer facing, able to build trust and confidence quickly
* Comfortable in a formal meeting environment outnumbered 12:1 with technical questioning
* Willing to spend up to 50% of time travelling worldwide
* Fluent in English language, additional language(s) desirable
Other Information
* Reporting to VP Sales & Marketing
* Remuneration negotiable on employed or contract basis
* Initially based in Cambridge, UK for training and orientation
* More flexibility for longer-term location
