Role Overview:
* Employer: PRISM Youth Project (Independent school for ages 11-19 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health issues and Mild Learning Disabilities)
* Salary: £34,834 - £36,648 (pro-rata)
* Hours: 37 hours/week, term-time only
* Training: Includes support towards Qualified Teacher Status
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver Functional Skills Maths and English.
* Tailor approaches with SENCO for individual student needs.
* Conduct diagnostic assessments and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
* Prepare and deliver innovative lessons, group activities, and 1:1 sessions.
* Monitor and document learner progression.
* Manage student behaviour and ensure safety (including on-site animals).
* Liaise with parents, external agencies, and attend meetings.
* Engage in community-based and occasional residential activities.
Requirements:
* Minimum 12 months’ experience working with young people in similar settings.
* Energetic, patient, flexible, empathetic, and capable of building relationships.
* Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to undergo Enhanced DBS checks.
