We are seeking a talented Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in enabling faster and more consistent delivery of software by utilising standardised tooling and building better infrastructure that supports the software engineers in their work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cloud Infrastructure Management with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), utilising Terraform to design, implement, and manage infrastructure in Azure with best practices in mind.
2. Create and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate code integration, testing, and deployment, preferably using Azure DevOps or similar Git based services.
3. Automate repetitive tasks to streamline the software delivery process and eliminate toil using scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell.
4. Facilitate communication and collaboration between development, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth software delivery.
5. Provide support and troubleshoot issues related to applications, systems, and infrastructure.
6. Implement monitoring, logging, alerts, and dashboards to track the performance and health of applications and infrastructure, using industry standard tools such as Better Stack, Prometheus, Data Dog, Elastic and Grafana.
7. Ensure that security and compliance are embedded into all that we do.
8. Maintain documentation with changes in systems, processes, and technologies.
Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
9. Experience with landing zone architecture.
10. Wider programming skills in languages such as C#, Golang, or Python.
11. Experience in a support rota, carrying out triage, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
12. Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.
13. Experience with cloud migration projects.
