Fire Safety Manager
The successful post holder will manage all aspects of fire safety across the organisation's assets, ensuring services are maintained and improved.
The successful post holder will also support compliance with statutory and non-statutory fire safety legislation and related building regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) programmes are delivered on time and to required standards through a quality assurance programme.
2. Ensure compliance with legislation using performance data, risk assessments, and audits of commercial/residential properties.
3. Act as a subject matter expert on fire safety for the company.
4. Support, develop, and maintain the Housing Fire Risk Management Policy.
5. Liaise with managers and staff at all levels within the organisation to implement fire safety standards and initiatives.
6. Provide expert advice and guidance on fire safety issues and act as a focal point for fire safety management.
7. Provide technical expertise to the Fire Safety Manager and team to support their duties.
8. Challenge current contractors on fire safety programmes.
Working Hours:
37 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Requirements:
1. Fire safety qualification, such as NEBOSH or similar recognised Fire Safety Certificate Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety.
2. Minimum of 3 years' experience in fire safety, property management, or a related sector.
3. Experience working in building compliance or fire service environments.
4. Knowledge of the code of practice for fire safety in residential building design, management, and use.
5. Understanding of Fire Risk Assessment processes and best practices.
6. Specialist knowledge of fire safety legislation and its application to housing.
