We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team in a special school that caters to students with a broad range of complex needs. The successful candidate will be supporting KS4 students who are working towards their qualifications while receiving tailored support to help them succeed. This school is dedicated to fostering independence and building confidence, providing both academic and pastoral care to ensure each student reaches their potential. Key Responsibilities Support KS4 students in the classroom, helping to keep them engaged and focused on learning. Provide tailored support for students with a range of additional needs, including social, emotional, and academic challenges. Assist with the preparation of learning resources and work alongside the teacher to deliver effective lessons. Encourage student well-being, offering emotional and pastoral support when needed. Track and monitor student progress, supporting the teacher in assessing learning outcomes and providing feedback. Key Requirements Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational or SEN setting. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support students’ development and well being. Team player, with the ability to take initiative and adapt to the individual needs of students.
