The Role
As a 1st Line IT Support Technician, you’ll be the first point of contact for our clients, ensuring their technical issues are resolved quickly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing remote and IT support, troubleshooting common hardware, software, and network issues for B2B clients.
* Assisting with Microsoft 365 services, including account setups, basic troubleshooting, and user support.
* Logging and managing support tickets, ensuring issues are resolved within agreed SLAs.
* Assisting with routine IT maintenance tasks, such as software updates, backups, and system monitoring.
* Escalating complex issues to 2nd line support while maintaining clear communication with clients.
* Helping to set up and configure new devices, including laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
* Collaborating with the team to identify common issues and suggest improvements to processes.
We are looking for someone who not only delivers great support but also has a proactive approach, ensuring issues are dealt with efficiently and effectively.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
* A great phone manner, you will need to maintain a good rapport with clients on the phone while working on their issue.
* A strong passion for IT and a desire to develop your technical skills.
* Previous experience in 1st line IT support, either professionally or through personal projects.
* Basic understanding of Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
* Strong problem-solving abilities with a logical and methodical approach.
* The ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Desirable Skills:
* Familiarity with cloud-based solutions such as Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
* Some experience with networking devices such as routers and firewalls.
* Hands-on experience with hardware repairs and system builds.
* Experience working in an IT support environment, supporting multiple clients.
