Job Title: Children’s Residential Home Manager for a new home
Location: Redcar and Cleveland
Salary: £42,000 – £46,000

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Children’s Residential Home Manager to lead our team in providing a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children with complex emotional and behavioural needs. Our home operates under a therapeutic model, focusing on trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, and positive attachment-based approaches.
As the Home Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance with Ofsted regulations, and leading a team to deliver a person-centered, therapeutic approach that supports the well-being and development of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide effective leadership and management to a team of residential care staff.
* Ensure the home meets and exceeds all Ofsted regulations and maintains high standards of care.
* Implement and develop the therapeutic model to create a nurturing, structured, and healing environment for children.
* Develop and oversee care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child.
* Manage safeguarding practices, ensuring the safety and well-being of all young people.
* Oversee staff recruitment, training, and development to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
* Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and administrative responsibilities effectively.
* Build positive relationships with external stakeholders, including social workers, families, and other professionals.
Requirements:
* Minimum of two years’ experience as a Manager within a Children’s Residential Home.
* Strong knowledge and experience of working within a therapeutic model of care.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willingness to complete.
* Proven track record of achieving good or outstanding Ofsted ratings.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation, including the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
* A full UK manual driving license and Right to Work in the UK.
* The ability to remain honest and respectful in all interactions with your colleagues, our young people and all stakeholders.
