Description Salary: £39,693 - £45,222 (depending on qualifications and experience) plus £579 fringe allowance Grade: TACC Programme Area Managers, scp 13-17 Permanent: 52 weeks per year Hours per Week: 37 hours, Monday to Friday (including evenings/Saturdays as & when required) We would consider applications for a fractional contract post, split as follows - Programme Manager ESOL 0.6 (3 days/week) and Programme Manager English, Maths and Digital Skills 0.4 (2 days per week) Thurrock Adult Community College is the local authority’s provider of adult education for Thurrock. Our main base is in the Old Court House in Grays, but we deliver courses across the borough. You will manage, inspire and motivate a small but growing team of tutors delivering accredited and non-accredited English, Functional Skills, ESOL and Essential Digital Skills courses. Making sure planning, delivering and monitoring of teaching, learning and assessment takes place at the highest standards for our learners. You will be an outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practitioner. You will manage and develop a designated portfolio of English, ESOL and Digital Skills courses, ensuring learners reach their full potential and the college maximises it funding drawdown. You will need to focus on good quality provision, resulting in high attendance, retention and achievement rates. Experience in a similar role is required. You will also have experience of teaching adults, curriculum design & management in adult education, quality management and improvement along with knowledge of current adult education funding rules. You will have a teaching qualification relevant to post 16 provision. An Enhanced DBS check with Children's Barred List is required.
