In their state-of-the-art facility, we are looking for individuals with a passion and energy to strive to achieve the highest standards in everything they do. We are seeking committed individuals to join them in either their Body Construction, Paint, Trim, or Final Assembly teams as a Quality Inspector to support the building of the beautiful brand.
Job Purpose: Quality Inspector
The Quality Inspector will conduct a 100% final quality inspection and associated activities on Aston Martin vehicles to identify quality issues and opportunities for improvement and to ensure cars sold meet or exceed Aston Martin Quality Standards.
Key duties & responsibilities:
1. Be the 'voice of the customer' in assessing vehicles.
2. Carry out work in line with the process and defined standards required using the EASE system.
3. Be comfortable with using measurement tools such as vernier or digital calipers, gap, and flush gauges.
4. Carry out Customer Perception Audits on end of line vehicles.
5. Carry out audits on Painted bodies prior to build.
6. Ensure work is completed within cycle time.
7. When necessary, provide feedback to areas on the issues you have found.
8. Adhere to risk assessment and H&S regulations.
9. Adhere to company housekeeping policy.
10. Carry out FLM and Lean activities.
Qualification & experience:
1. Working knowledge of vehicle inspection.
2. Previous experience of auditing.
3. Computer literate.
4. Able to work as part of a cross-functional team or autonomously.
5. Ability to operate independently, demonstrating good judgement.
6. Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
7. Full UK Driving Licence.
These are temporary ongoing positions working 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 1am or potentially working 3 shift rotating mornings, afternoons, and nights. Paying £19.50 - £21.39 per hour.
