Basic Function
The Analyst, Regulatory Compliance will work within Commercial's Global Renewables Origination & Trading group with responsibility for ensuring compliance with international environmental laws, regulations and monetary implications affecting renewable fuels, feedstocks, or credits.
Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities
1. Support the U.K. Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) program
2. Manage and track obligations generated through P66 commercial activity under the Renewable Energy Directive (RED II) and individual European Member State programs
3. Manage International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) requirements
4. Manage sustainability mass balancing and chain of custody documentation
5. Support the company's global renewables initiatives
6. Prepare for and lead sustainability audits
7. Work with other internal stakeholders including Marketing, Refining, Regulatory, Tax, Customs, Legal, Finance & VCS&O to align on P66 renewables initiatives
8. Anticipate new commercial opportunities related to existing and announced renewables programs
9. Represent P66 externally with counterparties and renewables-related industry associations
Critical Skills/Leadership Criteria
Required:
1. Hold the legal right to live and work in the UK on a permanent basis without restrictions, or meet the relevant criteria for employer sponsorship.
2. Knowledge of UK/EU biofuels directives (RTFO/RED)
3. Previous experience with European renewable fuels and feedstocks regulatory programs
4. Experience as collaborative team player with ability to work constructively within a very close and often demanding team-working environment, and interact well with other parts of the group
5. Self-starter with desire to grow a business and develop their own role within it
6. Seeks continuous development and improvement of processes and procedures
7. Relevant industry experience
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills
9. Attention to detail and accuracy of documentation
10. Project origination and development experience
11. Familiarity with commodity trading
Preferred:
1. Governmental regulatory program knowledge
2. Direct experience with environmental, legal, and regulatory programs
3. Knowledge of economic value of renewable fuels in supply chain
4. Knowledge of UK/EU biofuels directives (RTFO/RED)
5. Previous experience with marketing/trading/refinery/blending
6. Ability to communicate in multiple languages
