Overview
Our client, is looking for a reliable and proactive Handy Person to work one day per week, assisting with various household maintenance tasks at their rural private residence near Oxford.
This is a flexible position with a variety of tasks both inside and outside the house. The ideal individual will be a Mr./Ms. Fix-It with a broad range of skills and the ability to tackle different odd jobs as needed. Please note, the family employ a gardener.
Job duties
Responsibilities of the Handy Person near Oxford include:
* Perform general maintenance tasks both indoors and outdoors as assigned by the family, including but not limited to basic electrical and plumbing work, hanging paintings, and minor repairs
* Maintain household systems, such as cleaning gutters, fixing garage doors, and checking for general wear and tear
* Ensure all tasks are completed with a high level of attention to detail and in a timely manner
* Communicate with the family to understand priorities and manage expectations
Candidates must be/have:
* Proven experience in a similar maintenance or handyman role, with knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical work, and general home repairs
* Must have your own tools and equipment for general maintenance tasks
* Ability to tackle a wide range of tasks, including both simple fixes and more complex maintenance work
* Must be able to safely use tools and climb ladders for tasks like gutter cleaning
* A proactive, reliable, and friendly and flexible attitude
* Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
* A valid driving licence and have own car (as the location is rural)
* Able to work on a self-employed basis
Hours
One day per week (8 hours).
The family is flexible regarding which day the work takes place, but the agreed-upon day will need to be mutually arranged and fixed on a permanent basis.

Near Oxford, Oxfordshire.
Salary
Competitive. Hourly rate depending on experience.
