We have an exciting opportunity for a senior finance assistant to join our finance team here at Bromford.
This role plays a crucial part in delivering business-critical payment services, ensuring all transactions are processed efficiently and in compliance with our policies, controls, and service level agreements. You'll be responsible for setting up and validating manual payment requests, ensuring timely processing of BACS payments through our ERP systems, and administering company procurement cards.
You will also develop and maintain effective reporting, support stakeholder meetings, and provide training on payment approval processes. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, you will drive enhancements in our service delivery, keeping up to date with technical advancements and identifying better ways of working. Additionally, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for career development as a first step into influencing leadership and stakeholder management.
This role is permanent and full time. You will be based from our main office in Wolverhampton with regular home working available. A basic DBS check is required.
You will have:
1. Experience in payment and banking processes within a high-volume shared service environment
2. Familiarity with multiple banking platforms
3. Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
5. Confidence in communicating with stakeholders at all levels
6. A proactive, problem-solving mindset
7. Part-qualified accountancy qualification (desirable but not essential)
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
9. Strong understanding of financial controls and risk
