The role includes working within a busy reception area assisting patients with appointments face to face or by telephone, dealing with queries from patients or external agencies as well as administrative duties. Church Walk Surgery develops and builds a multi skilled team, therefore all roles are adaptable. You will receive training so you can be a flexible member of the team to enable the practice to function at all times, particularly in times of staff absence. Receptionist duties/ skills: Excellent customer service skills Good working knowledge of word, email, internet, etc. Flexibility and enthusiasm for the job Booking appointments face to face/ telephone Emailing/ Texting Using IT systems to book blood appointments Dealing with patient prescription requests and queries Liaising with other community service providers such as hospitals, other GPs.
