Senior Electrical Engineer
Aberdeen-based contract opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide first-line asset engineering support.
Your Responsibilities
* Ensure technical competence of electrical maintenance personnel, interview and test competency, and formally appoint REPs and SAEP.
* Maintain discipline-specific engineering work (OPEX) within budget.
* Deliver technically correct and timely engineering work (OPEX) service.
* Provide optimized preventative maintenance programs for electrical equipment and implement industry best practices.
* Engage in operational improvement processes to optimize discipline-specific engineering (OPEX) support.
* Contribute to the 28 and 90-day asset planning process.
* Provide discipline guidance and engineering endorsement for proposed changes to PMRs in SAP CMMS.
* Represent the client as a technical representative for asset support contracts.
* Liaise with other disciplines, vendor representatives, and manufacturers.
* Ensure vendors are mobilized on time to meet the asset planning schedule and that they are fully prepared to execute scopes of work on time and within agreed budgets.
* Assist in resolving operational problems, including participation in and close-out of accident/incident investigations and root cause analysis.
* Provide engineering advice and endorsement of engineering changes (MOC), maintenance deferrals, ORA's, etc., as per the client's E&P engineering standards.
* Responsible for equipment performance, including spare part management and warranty follow-up.
* Evaluate performance standards accuracy and adherence via the Inspection, Test, and Maintenance program.
* Actively engage with site execution teams, promoting participation in corporate behavioral safety and intervention schemes, communication, and understanding of goals.
Your Profile and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
* Professional accredited engineer.
* Possesses personal accountability for assigned activities and tasks and demonstrates behaviors aligned with the client's values at all times.
* Significant experience in client/operator relationships and contractor management.
* Ability to resolve complex problems and drive innovative solutions and pace.
* Demonstrates sound understanding of engineering principles and practical application.
* Proven ability to interact effectively at all levels and encourage team ethos across core crew and subcontractors.
* Considerable relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, primarily gained in an engineering and production operations environment.
* Familiarity with UK oil and gas industry regulations, particularly Electrical Regulations.
* Knowledge of quality processes and continuous improvement tools is desirable.
* Proficient in SAP Experience, particularly SAP PM, although other CMMS will be considered.
Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
