The Export Coordinator responsibilities will include organizing and monitoring storage and distribution of goods.
The goal is to manage the entire order cycle to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.
Working alongside the Purchasing Manager and managing the Warehouse Team whilst reporting into the General Manager your key responsibilities are outlined below:
1. Logistics Operations:
Plan, coordinate, and monitor international shipments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Develop and manage transportation strategies across ocean, air, and ground freight.
Negotiate contracts with freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics service providers.
2. Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and tariff codes.
Stay updated on changes in import/export policies and implement necessary adjustments.
Oversee the preparation and accuracy of shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, invoices).
3. Supply Chain Optimization:
Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Develop strategies to minimize costs while maintaining product quality and service levels.
Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
Identify and mitigate potential risks in international shipping (e.g., delays, compliance issues).
Develop contingency plans to address disruptions in the supply chain.
4. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Lead and develop a team of logistics coordinators and specialists.
Foster communication with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and customer service.
5. Technology and Reporting:
Utilize logistics management software to track shipments and analyze data.
Prepare performance reports, analyzing metrics such as delivery times, costs, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities and duties
* Supporting the Purchasing Manager with the supply chain, including purchasing and distribution.
* Ensuring orders are picked, packed, and sent in a timely and efficient manner.
* Coordinating deliveries and stock coming into the building.
* Planning routes, analyzing budgets, and processing shipments.
* Ensuring efficient and cost-effective movement of products, inventory, and parts.
* Complying with relevant regulations and demonstrating problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
* Planning and managing logistics, warehouse, and transportation, including local deliveries, export, and import.
* Resolving any arising problems or complaints.
* Arranging warehouse, cataloguing goods, planning routes, and processing shipments.
* Supervising, coaching, and training warehouse workforce.
* Meeting cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
* Maintaining metrics and analyzing data to assess performance and implement improvements.
* Working with the Purchasing Manager, Product Manager, and customers on product selection.
