Company Commercial Solicitor - Newport
New commercial role for award winning Legal 500 rated practice that is growing its commercial team at pace!
Fantastic opportunity to help build a dynamic Company Commercial team, handling diverse corporate and commercial matters.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert legal advice on acquisitions, disposals, management buyouts, corporate governance, private equity, M&A, restructuring, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, and bespoke commercial contracts.
2. Independently draft, review, and negotiate complex corporate and transactional documents.
3. Conduct due diligence, assess legal risks, and advise on regulatory compliance.
4. Develop client-focused, innovative solutions, maintaining the highest standards of care.
5. Support junior team members, manage workloads, and contribute to the department's growth.
6. Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to expand the client base.
7. Engage in business development initiatives and represent the firm at events.
Requirements:
1. 7+ years' PQE as a versatile commercial lawyer with strong technical knowledge and transactional experience.
2. Proven ability to deliver practical, client-focused advice and manage complex caseloads independently.
3. Strategic thinking, excellent communication, and strong decision-making skills.
