Job Reference: AE645229 Location: Syston, LE7 Rate: £16.00 per hour, self-employed Hours: 15 hours per week Contract: Permanent Closing Date: 16th February 2025 You will be supporting the client to enhance their life, maximise their independence and access the community. Role Requirements You'll support the client with activities including: household chores organising errands appointments accessing the community The client will require the Personal Assistant to drive their child to and from school on occasion (with the client). You must be able to provide your own vehicle, appropriate car insurance, and a full, clean, UK driving licence. Mileage will be paid at 0.45 pence per mile In the long term, the role may pivot more toward the transportation needs of the client in support of any possible work, volunteering, education, or respite undertaken. Personal care only required when condition deteriorates; the client is stable at this time. Details can be discussed. Current General Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday - 11:30-3:30pm Tuesday & Thursday 2:30-4:00pm The schedule may have minor changes as the year goes on as it is subject to school timetables, but the ‘workday’ will generally always surround school hours and transportation. Breaks, minor changes, and ad hoc replacement hours can be discussed and arranged in advance. The role would suit someone who is flexible to minor changes with advance notice The ideal person will be responsible, proactive and have relevant previous experience. An important aspect of this role is being punctual and reliable as it surrounds school hours of the clients child. Myalgia Encephalomyelitis (ME), which is a medical condition characterised by long-term fatigue and other symptoms that limit a person's ability to carry out ordinary daily activities. The client tires very easily and reaches a point of exhaustion if they try to engage in any activity independently. Their physical mobility can be compromised and raising their arms can be painful The client can suffer from anxiety and overwhelm. Please note, the client has a cat. An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
