Location: Reading
Position: Full-Time SEMH Teaching Assistant
Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay: Starting at £95 a day
Axcis is working with a dedicated special needs school in Reading, committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for students with SEMH needs. We are seeking a resilient and proactive SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a positive impact on our students' lives.
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Support children with trauma and challenging behaviour
2. Provide personalised care and support, including personal care tasks
3. Assist in creating and implementing individual support plans
4. Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to foster a positive learning environment
5. Engage with students to build trust and promote emotional well-being
6. Adapt to the diverse needs of students with patience and empathy
What We Are Looking For:
1. Experience supporting children with trauma and challenging behaviour
2. A proactive and high-energy approach to engaging with students
3. Resilience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
4. A nurturing and empathetic attitude
5. Relevant qualifications at A-level or equivalent are preferred
Requirements:
1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
2. Ability to manage and support students with complex needs
3. A commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all students
