About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Mechanical Inspector employed for one of out clients based in the Reading area.
The Role of the Mechanical Inspector will report to the Quality Manager and support the site Quality team.
1. Production of inspection reports (non conformances, damage reporting etc) and associated project specific documents.
2. Identification & escelation (if required) of quality issues.
3. Inspection hold point witnessing (Torque sheets, Checksheets etc).
4. Be an active stakeholder in the process of Quality Plans and Inspection Test Plan’s (ITP).
5. Completion and sign off of Project ITP’s.
6. Review of Material and consumable certification.
7. Major Stakeholder in the creation of Long Term Quality Record packs.
Here's What You'll Need:
Qualifications:
8. CSCS or equivalent.
9. NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
10. Time served in a relevant discipline.
11. Internal Auditing (IRCA).
Experience:
12. Clear understanding of Engineering Standards.
13. Ability to understand construction drawings.
14. Clear understanding of Goods Inwards procedures.
15. Strong mechanical inspection experience.
16. Experience of Government contracts.
17. Candidates should be a Sole UK National and able to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
18. Understanding of ITAR.
