Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Diabetes Midwifery Team Leader based at Peterborough City Hospital with cross-site working at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon. The Diabetes Midwifery Team Leader will be responsible for leading and coordinating the midwifery care for pregnant individuals with diabetes. Key responsibilities include monitoring diabetic conditions, providing patient education, developing care plans, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. The role also involves ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines and maintaining accurate patient records.
Qualifications
* NMC registration and relevant midwifery qualifications
* Strong midwifery skills and experience in diabetes care
* Proven leadership and team coordination abilities
* Excellent communication and patient education skills
* Experience in developing care plans and working with multidisciplinary teams
* Attention to detail and proficiency in maintaining patient records
* Experience in the NHS or a similar healthcare setting is advantageous
