We are looking for a Placements Coordinator who will work diligently across our service to lead and manage the referral placement
process for our Children’s Residential Service.

The Role
You will lead on the referral management process on behalf of the Children’s Residential Services department, liaising with
commissioning services within the Children’s Residential sector.
You will support the homes management teams with effective placement matching across the service by acting as a key point of
contact between Local Authorities, Commissioning Services, home management teams and clinical teams to coordinate successful
placements.
Key tasks will include:
* Lead on the referral management process

* Build positive and effective relationships with Local Authorities, by providing excellent customer service and building
understanding of our specialist service
* Manage and develop the administrative processes of the function, including tracking and reporting
* Maintain the referrals system and provide reports to the senior management and Executive Leadership Team as required
This role will require you to work a 40 hour week, usually 8 hours per day to include evenings and weekends but with flexible
hours to meet the needs of the service and department, which will be discussed at interview.
About You
From your previous work with looked-after children, you will have a solid understand about children’s residential care services.
This could be from similar experience as a Placements Coordinator or maybe you have been a Care Worker but are now looking to
support the service in a different way.
You will need to be a confident communicator and be equally happy speaking with someone as you are putting together written
correspondence; you will need excellent communication skills and be able to use these to build rapport and meaningful
relationships with the internal and external stakeholder you will be working with on a daily basis.
If you have experience of liaising with Local Authorities and/or Commissioned services, this would be highly advantageous.
You will possess a high level of resilience as you will be reading and hearing highly sensitive and at times, upsetting documents.
You will have outstanding organisational and planning skills with the ability to put in place systems and processes to support
this important part of our Residential Care service. You will also be really motivated and able to work under your own
supervision as this role is a stand-alone position within the wider Children’s Residential Care team.
