Monarch Education are currently working alongside Primary Schools in the Peterborough area to find a Personal Care Assistant to work full time with an Early Years class. This is a Special Educational needs school for pupils with mixed needs including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Autism, Specific Learning Differences. The ideal candidate for this role will ensure that you attend to the all-round daily needs of the children by enhancing their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development and assist with personal care. The ideal candidate for this role will hold / be confident in the following: Must have lots of patience and a good understanding of autism and an intuitive attitude towards challenging behaviours. You will be asked to maintain a good standard of hygiene ensuring that he is changed regularly and has access to a toilet. You will be asked to encourage his physical development as much as safely possible. The pupil is able to feed themselves, but requires support to open food and drinks.
