Position: PMO Analyst

This is a Hybrid Working role with a requirement to attend our London Farringdon office two days per week, with flexibility required in line with business needs.

Using your expert knowledge and experience of successfully delivering portfolio/programme/projects with dynamic planning, you’ll ensure all Product Development portfolio programmes/projects are compliant with central Royal Mail Group Transformation project governance and local Commercial project delivery methodologies, governance, strategies, priorities, and roadmaps.
About the role
1. Analysing portfolio, programme and project data with extremely high attention to detail to spot errors, gaps, synergies, opportunities and risks.
2. Producing operating structure and process documentation, deliverable and report templates, under continuous improvement and refinement, to extremely high levels of quality.
3. Mapping and traceability of project information, key milestones, finances, benefits, RAG status, issues, risks, actions, and deliverable governance.
4. Planning – Understanding and monitoring key project, programme and portfolio milestones, baseline and actual dates, slippages, tolerances, conducting scenario planning, and publishing extract lookahead plans and long-term roadmaps.
5. Reporting – Generating the weekly report from automated source data to exceptional high standard and accuracy in terms of both content and aesthetic output.
6. Prioritisation – Appreciation and alignment to the business transformation strategy and initiative prioritisation by Sponsors and Execs.
About you
To truly excel in this role, you will possess the necessary skills and experience listed below:
Key Skills
1. Expert knowledge of how portfolios, programmes and projects operate, PMO disciplines and both waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
2. Strong experience of dealing with multiple workstreams and stakeholders at various levels and maintaining healthy ways of working and relationships.
3. Desirable - understanding of the Royal Mail products, features, and services, the USO, Royal Mail’s standing and reputation in the market, and other competitor parcel carriers.
4. Intermediate to advanced level MS Excel and PowerPoint. Intermediate level MS Project and Visio.
Experience
1. Extensive, proven experience of supporting major transformation and change programmes.
2. Strong experience supporting Royal Mail transformation projects, ideally in the Commercial area.
