Bakers Delight Moonee Ponds seeks motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic Qualified Bakers to join our friendly and dynamic Bakers Delight Team.

Applicants must be available to work a flexible roster and be available 24/7, including on public holidays, to meet the business’s needs. This is a full-time position, offering approximately 38 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare and produce quality bakery products as per Bakers Delight standards.
2. Ensure bread quality and range is up to standard and delivered on time to meet customer demands.
3. Maintain an effective relationship with all team members of the Bakery.
4. Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough.
5. Operate machines and tools to prepare bakery products.
6. Decorate cakes with glazes, icings, butter-cream, and edible toppings.
7. Prepare pastry fillings.
8. Coordinate the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling of batches of bread, rolls, and pastry products.
9. Glaze buns and pastries.
10. Maintain the cleanliness of machines, tools, and premises.
11. Monitor oven temperatures and product appearances to determine baking times.
Selection Criteria
1. Flexible availability to work across the 7 days of the week, which may include evening work and some public holidays (starting times can be as early as 12:01 am).
2. Work in a fast-paced team environment and communicate with customers and staff.
3. Portray a positive attitude.
4. Complete duties as directed by your manager/supervisor.
5. Abide by company policies and procedures at all times.
6. Train, develop and supervise apprentices and staff in the Bakery Department.
7. Maintain an effective relationship with all team members of the Bakery.
8. Have good numeracy and literacy skills.
9. Have a sound knowledge of food handling and food safety.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Previous Bakers Delight or similar bakery experience would be an advantage. Applicants with a minimum of 3 years' experience or Certificate III in Baking, as a Baker will have priority for this role.

Salary - $73,150 to $75,000 P/A + Super
