An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Community Care Hall Green PCN team. We are a dynamic, and forward-thinking PCN, who are passionate about developing and delivering excellent quality local services to meet the needs of our patients.
Following the recent changes in the ARRS Scheme to introduce General Practitioners, we are looking to expand our PCN team by seeking to employ a newly qualified General Practitioner to work alongside our practices and PCN staff (must have qualified within the last 2 years). As well as general practice staff, our PCN staff group currently also includes Clinical Pharmacists, Physicians Associates, Social Prescribers, Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Mental Health Practitioners, Care Coordinators, Nurse Associates, and Pharmacist Technicians.
This post is fixed term until the end of March 2025.
To perform as an autonomous general practitioner working independently and with other health care professionals to assess, diagnose and treat the conditions of patients attending within a primary care setting.
To be professionally accountable and responsible for all elements of clinical practice in accordance with the GMC code of conduct, ensuring the safety of patients and the quality of their care is the main focus.

The post-holder will be available to undertake a variety of duties including - surgery consultations, telephone consultations, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports, and correspondence in a timely fashion.
Triage patients presenting to the surgery by telephone, online, and in person.
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.
Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
Collecting data for audit purposes and complying with QOF requirements.
Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions, avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible, in line with local and national guidelines.
In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake the duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care in a surgery on a PCN basis.
