Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Technical Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide exceptional support to our clients by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to hardware and software. Your expertise in desktop support, VPNs, firewalls, and customer service will be essential in ensuring a seamless experience for our users. Duties
* Provide first-line technical support for out on plant advice, desktop environments, including Windows and Mac OS systems.
* Troubleshoot software issues and perform diagnostics on hardware problems.
* Assist users with VPN connectivity and firewall configurations to ensure secure access.
* Manage help desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution of customer queries and issues.
* Collaborate with IT teams to implement solutions that enhance system performance and user satisfaction.
* Document all support interactions accurately in the ticketing system for future reference.
* Conduct training sessions for end-users on software applications and best practices in IT usage.
* Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve service delivery.
Requirements
* Proven experience in desktop support or IT support roles, with a strong understanding of both Windows and Mac OS environments.
* Familiarity with VPN technologies, firewall configurations, and network troubleshooting.
* Excellent customer service skills with a focus on providing high-quality support experiences.
* Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail in software troubleshooting.
* Experience working in a help desk environment is highly desirable.
* Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
* A proactive approach to learning new technologies and improving existing processes.
