BakerHicks is seeking to appoint a Commercial Director to spearhead our commercial function. In this role, you will deal with commercial aspects of our projects, supporting our project managers, sector directors, business leads, as well as our legal team, at all stages of a project's lifecycle, from procurement, contract negotiations and implementation, through to completion, alongside assisting with any commercial issues which arise during delivery phases. Additionally, you will manage client relationships in vital commercial aspects, providing commercial advice, dispute resolution, and ensuring timely cash collection. As a member of the senior management team, you will offer management on projects to drive successful outcomes in areas such as health and safety, financial performance, and project execution excellence. This position will initially focus on projects within the UK, with the possibility of extending to European projects. Key Objectives
* Drive the commercial function for BakerHicks.
* Help set the commercial strategy for new major frameworks.
* Support project managers with commercial risk review process and report output to Board members.
* Ensure effective risk and opportunity management is in place, ensuring delivery of margin enhancement opportunities.
Proven track record in construction industry
* Experience across main forms of professional services and construction contracts with a background in contracting organisations.
* Must be willing to travel (locally and potentially internationally) to meet the requirements of the role.
Desirable
* EPCM experience ideal but not essential.
* Experience in delivery of professional services preferable but not essential
