Position Title: SEN Teacher

Role Overview:
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for providing tailored teaching and support to children with a range of special educational needs. You will work closely with a team of professionals, including teaching assistants and SEN coordinators, to develop and implement individualized learning plans that address the unique needs of each child. Your role will ensure that all students receive the support they need to achieve their full potential in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and deliver engaging lessons that meet the individual learning needs of children with SEN.
-Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to create and implement -Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
-Provide one-to-one and small-group support, adapting teaching strategies and resources as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes for each student.
-Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting confidence and self-esteem in students with additional learning needs.
-Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals (such as speech therapists or educational psychologists) to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
-Regularly assess and track the progress of students with SEN, providing feedback to parents and school leaders.
-Maintain clear and accurate records of student progress and interventions.
-Be an advocate for the inclusion of all students within the classroom, ensuring that they have equal access to educational opportunities.
