An opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join our Smart Infrastructure team to deliver structured cabling and related technology projects onsite at Heathrow Airport.
Key Accountabilities
1. To deliver site-based projects activities, to agreed cost targets in accordance with company objectives and standards, whilst ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
2. To support the onsite Project Management team in maximising the revenue from contracts through scope growth and variation orders.
3. To ensure that the projects are delivered in accordance with company and customer processes, procedures, and statutory obligations.
4. To ensure provision of timely resource and cost prediction, working closely with resource managers and central procurement as appropriate.
5. To generate required Risk Assessments and Method Statements to the required standards.
6. Submission and co-ordination of required permits to enable works can be delivered within the required timeframes.
7. To ensure provision of professional project planning throughout the project lifecycle.
8. To ensure provision of timely and accurate internal and customer project reporting.
9. To request and order required materials for each project within a timely manner.
10. To operate at all times with regard to the Health & Safety of employees and third parties, ensuring consistency with company and statutory obligations.
11. To professionally represent the company at all times, protecting the company assets and reputation.
12. To diligently participate in any training that the company may, from time to time, reasonably ask the incumbent to undergo, to achieve accreditations and qualifications that are deemed essential for fulfilment of duties.
13. To perform any other tasks as may be requested by the jobholder’s line manager.
Ideal Candidate
1. Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in the structured cabling industry.
2. Demonstrate some experience of Project Management controls, including initiation, change management, risk management, Project plans and the principles and practicalities of running projects.
3. Be familiar with industry standard testers and testing procedures.
4. Excellent technical understanding of structured cabling design and technologies.
5. Knowledge required to manage a safe construction site, SMSTS qualification or equivalent.
6. Valid ECS health & safety card.
