This role is pivotal as we expand our legal services to better support our community and client departments. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality legal services, ensuring our operations comply with the law, and protecting the Council from legal challenges. Key Responsibilities: Support and assist in the provision of legal advice and conduct casework on a wide range of matters. Provide a high-quality legal service to client departments, enabling them to implement decisions within the law and protect the District Council against prosecution and challenge. Undertake research and provide briefings on legal issues. Prepare documents and court bundles. Assist the Data Protection Officer in collating documents for disclosure. Skills and Qualifications: Enrolled on a Qualifying Law Degree or other degree or have successfully completed two years of a Law Degree. Basic understanding of the legal context of local government and how it is organised. Experience of working in a legal practice or equivalent. Why Work for Us?
