What are the pay and benefits? This is a full time, 12 month fixed term role. The salary is £ 40,556 for 37 hours per week Flexible working policies – this role would be both home and office based with regular time spent out on site across South Wales. Impactful Work: You'll play a crucial role in safeguarding the health and safety of our tenants, staff, and contractors by ensuring all properties comply with statutory regulations. As a Fire Safety Surveyor, you will be a key player in maintaining the safety and compliance of our properties. You’ll report to the Property Safety Manager and work across our estates, collaborating with both internal and external teams. Your main responsibilities include: Conducting comprehensive Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs). Preparing a program for FRA inspections and undertaking desktop reviews. Ensuring any issues raised by the Fire Service are promptly addressed. Providing technical fire safety advice to colleagues and contractors. Overseeing and assuring the quality of works conducted by contractors. What skills and experience do you need? To excel in this role, you must have significant experience within the housing or construction industry, specifically focusing on health and safety and fire safety. You should have a proven track record of conducting Fire Risk Assessments and experience in implementing effective measures to enhance fire safety culture. You'll need to be an excellent communicator, capable of engaging professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders, and able to manage and prioritise your own workload efficiently. You must have a thorough understanding of health and safety practices in the workplace, particularly in construction. In terms of qualifications, you should hold a NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management or a similar qualification.
