Salary: Grade 7, £28,435 - £31,720 per annum.
37 hours per week, term time plus 3 weeks working 41 weeks per year

It is essential that the postholder is able to work flexibly to meet the demands of the post. You will be required to work an additional 111 hours across the academic year which are paid to recognise any additional hours accrued due to the demands of the post.
The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, confident Head of Year to join our friendly and committed team. We are seeking someone who can offer a high-quality pastoral service to our students and staff and is calm, pro-active and cheerful. Attention to detail and accuracy are vital for this role. It is important for our school that you want to contribute to the growth and development of every member of our school community enabling them to flourish and live life in all its fullness.
The successful candidate will:

* Work within our Pastoral team, alongside our SEND and therapeutic teams, to ensure that all pupils’ needs are met and that each child has every chance to remain included in school life.

* Contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal care of children and young people.

The post is covered by the Protection of Children Act and is therefore subject to an enhanced DBS check.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

References:
All offers of employment are subject to the receipt of a minimum of 2 satisfactory references. One of your references must be from the Headteacher at your current school, or your most recent employer. If your current/most recent employment does/did not involve working with children, then the second referee should be from the employer with whom you most recently worked with children. Neither referee should be a relative/friend.
