We have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our high-performing commercial team.
This role is crucial to ensuring our commercial success, enabling us to invest in new technologies and develop sustainable, carbon-positive energy infrastructure—built and maintained in a way that safeguards our planet for future generations.
Here are just some of the activities you will be involved with…
* Generating weekly revenue and cost reports.
* Managing the submission of daily completed jobs.
* Producing ‘Schedules of Rates’.
* Reconciling subcontractor costs and preparing payment certificates.
* Liaising with Operations and Planning to monitor job progress and scope changes.
* Reviewing scheme works to ensure targets are on track.
* Pricing completed jobs for high-volume works.
* Analysing weekly and monthly cost and revenue data.
We would love to hear from you if…
You will have a background in the utilities or civil engineering sector, along with experience in subcontract management. Previous experience working on an NEC3 Option B package of works is essential. A working knowledge of the Method of Measurement for Highway Works (MMHW) is also required.
You should have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency in formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail will be crucial in managing costs and revenues effectively.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, communicates effectively, and takes a proactive approach to problem-solving. A positive attitude, adaptability, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure will also be key to your success.
