This role involves providing support to five individuals who reside in their own homes, fostering an environment that promotes their well-being and independence.
Our Pollok service offers an engaging and dynamic work environment. Each day brings unique experiences as we inspire those we support to enjoy various activities like swimming, cooking, dining out, socialising, watching films, hitting the gym, or assisting with holiday plans.
Our core principle revolves around communicating based on values, and we customize our assistance to align with the unique requirements of the individuals under our care. As a support practitioner, your responsibilities will encompass providing assistance in our 24-hour housing support services, catering to individuals with diverse and complex support needs, some of whom may not communicate verbally.
In this role, you will engage in one-on-one interactions, aiding individuals in their day-to-day activities, fostering a positive and meaningful life, and guiding them towards the fulfilment of personal goals and ambitions, both within their homes and the broader community. Your primary focus will be on establishing trustful relationships, serving as a solid foundation for helping with practical tasks, including:
1. Support clients in their own homes with personal care, housework, administering medication, meal preparation, supporting with finances, companionship, etc.

3. Promote independence and individuality according to each client's Support Plan.
4. Record daily tasks and maintain accurate up-to-date records.

At Sense Scotland, we take great pride in providing a diverse range of engaging activities for the people we support. We understand that life is about more than just support and care; it's about enjoyment, fulfilment, and meaningful experiences.
Our Pollok Service provides 24-hour support, 365 days of the year. You are required to work across seven days, which will include regular weekend work. We really need a flexible and committed approach to ensure consistency and stability for the people we support. Shifts are a mixture of early shifts (07.45 - 14.45) and late shifts (14.45 - 21.45) and a quota of sleep-over duties.
