This post is Secondment for months to meet the needs of the service.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator within the Safeguarding & Public Protection Regional Business Team. The post is for a temporary full time Band Administrator, working five days per week am – pm for six months covering maternity leave.
The post holder will need to be highly organised, friendly, and reliable with the ability to plan and prioritise their workload and work to rigorous deadlines with good interpersonal skills. The post holder will support effective and timely administration of matters within the Safeguarding Regional Business Team, including the co-ordination of all Business Team administrative work reporting to the Business Support Manager. Support will also be given to the Director of Safeguarding & Public Protection and other Senior Managers within the Safeguarding & Public Protection Team
You will work alongside the existing administration team to provide comprehensive and efficient administrative support to the wider Safeguarding & Public Protection Team. Each day is varied and a flexible and an open approach is essential, as is the ability to work systematically, and within deadlines. You will need to demonstrate competency with all Microsoft packages, which will include comparing and merging documents, creating forms using fields and advanced tools. Working as part of a team is vital and communicating effectively with the wider safeguarding team is essential.
Main duties of the job
1. The purpose of the role is to work as part of the Regional Business Safeguarding Team, providing comprehensive administrative support to the service.
2. The post-holder is required to receive and process all reports across the safeguarding arenas.
3. The post-holder will record the information into safeguarding dashboards and other databases and ensure these are maintained daily.
4. The post-holder may also take telephone messages, convey information to others and arrange meetings etc.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
