Glamorgan County Cricket Club is one of the 18 major county cricket clubs which make up the England and Wales Cricket Board and is the only Welsh professional county in the UK. Sophia Gardens host International cricket, the Hundred and domestic cricket alongside a very busy and diverse non-cricket events calendar

Purpose of the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, and highly organised Executive Assistant to provide dedicated support to the CEO, Senior Management team and Chair of the Board of Directors at Glamorgan County Cricket Club.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the executive office, managing day-to-day responsibilities and facilitating high-level decision-making. They will also take responsibility for the club’s HR administration and people policies, driving teamwork, collaboration and an inclusive environment throughout all of our business operations
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the CEO, SMT, and Chair of the Board, managing calendars, arranging meetings, and handling scheduling conflicts with diplomacy and efficiency.
• Prepare and organise materials for meetings, presentations, and events, ensuring the CEO, SMT and Chair are briefed and well-prepared.
• Act as note-taker at key meetings, including weekly SMT meetings.
• Act as a liaison between the CEO, board members, key personnel and other high-profile stakeholders of the club.
• Oversee email and correspondence management, prioritising and drafting responses, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
• Support with the planning and organisation of key corporate events throughout the year.
• Plan and arrange access to home and away hospitality for Board members on match days.
• Arrange detailed travel itineraries, accommodations, and transportation for domestic and international trips, ensuring all aspects are aligned with the CEO’s, SMT’s and Chair’s schedules.
• Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information, handling financial documents, contracts, and other critical files.
• Provide administration support to various key personnel, including expense management.
• Oversee the development and execution of employee experience programs, ensuring alignment with organisational culture and values.
• Through liaison with the Club’s HR legal support, ensure compliance with HR best practice, employment law and organisational policies, mitigating risks and promoting best practices.
• Partner with CEO, SMT and Chair to create inclusive practices in relation to the recruitment and retention of our people and enhance the employee journey, from onboarding to offboarding.
• Monitor and respond to feedback from employee surveys, creating actionable plans and supporting a collaborative, inclusive environment
• Be responsible for managing our online HR system to ensure compliance with employment legislation, GDPR, and organisational policies.
• Collaborate with the Head of EDI to drive the implementation of the club’s EDI strategy

Requirements
It is expected that the successful candidate will possess the following:
Experience and Skills:
• Previous experience as an executive assistant or in a similar role is essential, with experience supporting C-suite executives preferred.
• Possess or be willing to work towards CIPD Level 5 or equivalent people qualification.
• Knowledge of people operations, systems, and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail
• High level of discretion and professionalism, with demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Ideally to have experience in the sports industry or a similar dynamic environment

• Flexibility: The nature of our work and the size of our team here at Glamorgan County Cricket Club requires everyone to be flexible, motivated and an excellent team player. This role will include working some occasional evenings and weekends during the busy Cricket season. All positions at the club are based on site but limited flexibility can be provided given the nature of the business.
