This full-time role offers a rate of £25 hourly for three months. What you will do:
1. Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for individuals with swallowing difficulties and related communication issues.
2. Conduct comprehensive evaluations using clinical observations, diagnostic tools, and instrumental assessments such as videofluoroscopy and FEES as needed.
3. Formulate and implement tailored treatment plans in accordance with clinical guidelines, aimed at improving swallowing function.
4. Deliver therapeutic interventions and appropriate feeding strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
5. Educate and guide patients, families, and caregivers on safe swallowing practices and necessary food modifications.
6. Monitor and review patient progress, adapting treatment plans to maximise effectiveness.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Hold a recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy, such as a BSc in Speech and Language Therapy.
2. Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
3. Demonstrate experience in the assessment and management of dysphagia.
4. Possess knowledge of current clinical guidelines and best practices in dysphagia.
5. Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Show the ability to work independently while also thriving as part of a multidisciplinary team.
