Tax Manager opportunity with a well-established accountancy practice in Camberley. This is a growing firm and as Tax Manager you will play a key role in the firms future growth. Within this office-based role, you will be responsible for all aspects of taxation within the tax team including self-assessment, corporate and personal tax returns, Capital Gains Tax returns, Inheritance Tax returns and advice, Trust Tax returns and tax planning advice.
As Tax Manager, with one Trainee as a direct report, your responsibilities will include:
1. Advising on Personal Tax, Trust Tax, Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, VAT, Research and Development, P11D, Form 42, tax planning and ideally Corporation Tax
2. Assisting and training colleagues in Trust tax
3. Maintain detailed working knowledge of the impact on tax in respect of changes to accounting standards and guidelines
4. Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients
5. Handle client enquiries on a day-to-day basis and keeping the Managing Director fully up to date
6. Prepare the more complex Personal Tax Returns, along with reviewing working paper files prepared by other members of the team
7. Advising on overseas tax implications with regard to Personal Tax Returns
8. Reporting to the partners
9. Guide colleagues in all tax areas
10. Follow existing systems, update them, and develop new policies for the firm as appropriate
