We are recruiting for an experienced Customer Insight Manager role with a recognised brands as part of their UK Marketing operations. Based at their head office in Yorkshire, the role is looking for a confident expert with proven experience in in commercial analysis, conducting market trend analysis, and horizon scanning.
This role will be the key insights partner for the central office and the regional teams will support the delivery of key insights on the market, competitors, consumers and shoppers, into actionable recommendations for strategic commercial planning.
Typical responsibilities of the role will include:
* Overseeing research projects on market trends
* Conduct competitor investment, launch and organisation research including commercial data modelling.
* Strengthen partnerships with retail partners, presenting compelling, data-driven insights to retail buyers, category managers, and key stakeholders across the business.
* Bring insights to life through creative storytelling, turning complex data into clear, engaging narratives that inspire action across the business.
* Provide constant monitoring and analysis of commercial data.
* Deliver & present to the Senior Management team key Insights with actionable recommendation to ensure continuous growth in customer spend.
* Work with Customer Insight providers of 3rd party data (e.g., Kantar, Nielsen)
* Liaise with Trading teams to gain deeper insight in how to grow basket spend in store.
* Design and run specific research projects & concept testing to ensure any created ranges truly match customer trends.
The ideal candidate will be / have:
* Previous experience of a similar role within a Retail / FMCG environment in category management, consumer insights or market research
* Strong technical expertise in commercial research analysis.
* Ability to analyse & clarify details on large volumes of facts and figures.
* A logical and efficient work ethic with a keen attention to detail
* Strong IT Skills with Advanced Excel & PowerPoint
* The ability to effectively prioritise own workload and execute tasks within set timeframes.
* Educated to degree level.
