Job Title: Buyer
Location: Blackwood
Salary: £25,000-£28,000 per annum
Hours: Full time. Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours a week, start time can be slightly flexible.
Job Overview:
Here at The Recruitment Co, we are recruiting a Junior Buyer to work for a company in Blackwood on a temp to perm basis.
Main Responsibilities:
* Procurement
* Vendor management
* MRP scheduling
* Quality Assurance
* New Product Development
* Driving improvement initiatives while maintaining excellent customer service levels
* Some administrative duties
* Using strong commercial and analytical skills to create value for the business through effective negotiation of price, contract, and service level agreements

* Excellent internal and external customer relationship and interpersonal skills
* Effective written and oral communication skills

* Self-motivated and professional at all times
* Able to deliver consistently high performance in a demanding, commercial environment
Education and Experience:
* Educated to degree level - CIPS preferred (or working towards)
* Supply chain or Procurement experience
* IT literate with strong spreadsheet knowledge
* Experience working with MRP/ERP and SAP systems
* Experience in a legislative environment and familiarity with procedures/systems
