Theatre Practitioner - Registered Nurse or ODP
Join to apply for the Theatre Practitioner - Registered Nurse or ODP role at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.
Are you looking for a new challenge, working as part of a team that delivers a safe environment for all patients attending theatres?
Our Day Surgery team has a great deal of experience in delivering the highest quality care, and we are delighted to say we are expanding with new theatres and increased secondary recovery. As part of our growth, we are recruiting for an additional four registered Theatre Practitioners (either NMC or AHP Registered).
The majority of the surgery performed at Torbay and South Devon is day case surgery, which is when people come to hospital, have their surgery, and return home on the same day.
Our Day Surgery Unit treats over 9,000 people a year and has been open since 1995. It is a welcoming and warm environment, and we see both adults and children.
Joining our team, you would be expected to be an advocate for the Trust who puts patient care as a priority and high-quality patient-focused care at the forefront of all we do. You will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality care for patients in the perioperative stage of their care.
We are looking for staff with experience in scrub and anaesthetics #Caretojoinus.
Responsibilities
* To be responsible for the delivery of high-quality patient-focused care.
* To provide and maintain a safe environment for all patients attending theatres.
* To co-ordinate and carry out perioperative care with minimal supervision, acting as a role model and working with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
Why work with us?
Torbay day surgery is recognised locally and nationally as a centre of excellence. We work very closely with the whole multi-disciplinary team and are very proud of the service we provide and our outcomes.
We get regular positive feedback from patients who comment on the friendly atmosphere that we try to promote for our patients and our staff.
The variety of care in day surgery means there are learning opportunities and further training.
Many staff work in more than one area of the unit and enjoy the challenge. Day surgery is changing and growing across the NHS, and in Torbay, we push boundaries. We have close links with The British Association of Day Surgery and are always looking for ways to improve our current pathways and take on new challenges.
