Job Brief:
KSS NW LTD is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Officer to join our Retail Risk & Compliance Department. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding our clients, which include a number of blue-chip retailers across the UK and Europe. In this role, you will be responsible for auditing retail stores, focusing on health and safety compliance, loss prevention strategies, and reducing stock loss. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about profit protection and has a keen interest in risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive audits of stores focusing on health and safety compliance and loss prevention strategies
* Complete store visit reports accurately, communicating issues and recommending solutions to store management
* Perform stock loss investigations, analysing data and generating insights to reduce shrinkage and internal/external theft
* Train and coach store managers and staff on loss prevention tactics and health and safety protocols, driving awareness and improving KPI performance
* Monitor and follow up on store action plans to ensure corrective measures are implemented and completed within deadlines
* Work closely with store management to address stock movement issues and ensure the accuracy of stock files
* Identify and resolve security-related risks that may expose company assets to potential theft or damage
* Ensure the correct utilisation of security equipment in stores, recommending improvements or upgrades as necessary
* Build strong relationships with Area Managers and store teams to gain their support in reducing loss and improving compliance
* Investigate breaches of policy, law, or process, and prepare detailed case files for internal action or legal proceedings
* Collaborate with local authorities and police where necessary to manage and resolve external crime incidents
* Continually monitor and analyse KPI performance across your assigned stores, taking a targeted approach to improve underperforming areas
* Lead initiatives and strategic plans to improve overall loss prevention measures, and contribute to reducing shrinkage across the businesses we work with
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a Loss Prevention or Profit Protection role, ideally in a retail environment
* Strong knowledge of health and safety compliance and loss prevention techniques
* Experience conducting audits and stock loss investigations
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software
* Wicklander Zulawski training or similar investigative experience (preferred but not essential)
* Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple store locations
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to influence and build relationships at all levels of the business
* Comfortable working in partnership with local authorities and police when dealing with external crime incidents
* A self-starter, able to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe to meet business needs

Pay: £29,000.00-£30,160.00 per year
