TLC Resourcing are working exclusively with a well-known family-run company near Downham who are a leading supplier of fresh produce to the catering trade across East Anglia.
We are seeking a commercially focused and hands-on Accountant to support financial operations and provide insightful analysis to help steer business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and variance analysis.
2. Payroll input from start to finish with year-end responsibilities.
3. Budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with departmental managers.
4. Weekly and monthly cashflow forecasting and monitoring.
5. Overseeing accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
6. Stock control accounting and cost of sales analysis.
7. Supporting year-end accounts and liaison with external auditors.
8. Providing analysis to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.
9. Process improvement and support on systems development (e.g. Sage or equivalent).
10. Production of weekly KPIs using Excel.
Person Specification:
1. Part-qualified or qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or qualified by experience.
2. Experience working in an SME or commercial environment.
3. Strong Excel and reporting skills.
4. Proactive mindset and confident communicator with non-finance colleagues.
5. Ability to work on-site and contribute to a team-focused culture.
