Job Responsibilities:
* To have a confident and comprehensive knowledge of beverage service.
* Manage the bar fully, responsible for team members, briefing and training of staff, stock handling and ensuring the customer receives excellent service.
* To be able to promote products, understand composite and processes, including menu, ingredients, allergens and service style.
* Actively work with other departments to ensure that guests have the best experience possible.
* To ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed, including health & safety, hygiene, working legislation.
* To deal with any customer feedback or complaints and report any service or quality issues.
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team and use own initiative to ensure a memorable experience for our guests.
* Ensuring the bar/cellar is thoroughly cleaned and prepped both ready for service throughout the day and the next event.
Required Skills:
Essential:
* Must be reliable and available to work evening & weekends as required.
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Confident, friendly and personable manner.
* Able to use initiative to resolve problems.
* Knowledge of licensing laws as well as challenge 25.
* Must have had previous experience in a similar role.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of cellar management procedures including changing barrels and gas.
* Previous experience of managing teams.
* Comprehensive product knowledge of beverages.
* Use of Oracle Micros till system.
* Knowledge of stock take procedures.
