POSITION TITLE: Custodian/Floor Technician DAYS: Mon-Fri HOURS: 4 :00 PM to 11:00 PM PAY RATE: $16.40 Job Summary: Floor Technician is responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, & bonneting) areas that include offices, work area, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public areas. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Follows all safety requirements and procedures at all times Operates Various types of equipment used for floor care maintenance such as: automatic scrubbers, floor machines, and wet/dry vacuum Performs preventative maintenance check on all equipment prior to use Provides floor care, including buffing and burnishing on hard surface Provides floor maintenance; including but not limited to, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, bonneting and extracting carpets Moves furniture and other heavy objects Performs other cleaning duties as specified in schedule Desired Experience/Education: Possess considerable knowledge of the operation, use and care of vacuum cleaners, scrubbing machines, polishing machines and general house-keeping equipment Ability to work under pressure and time constraints (due to schedule and last minute job requests) Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekend assignments Additional Requirements: Must be able to physically move through the worksite Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
